These terms explain what the JUUP stove warranty covers and how we act if a fault occurs. Keep these terms and your purchase details for future reference.
For household private use in a home or holiday residence. Covers manufacturing and material faults as well as burn-through and rust-through.
Professional, commercial, public, institutional and shared use (for example a paid sauna, hotel, rental guest sauna, housing company or gym).
The warranty is granted by Ab Juup Oy (hereinafter JUUP or we), Business ID 3099090-6. Our address is Varsakuja 10, 20380 Turku, Finland. For warranty matters, contact us at info@juup.fi or by phone at +358 40 737 1571.
These terms apply to JUUP sauna stoves sold as new by JUUP or its authorized dealers, for which these terms were provided prior to purchase. Product-specific warranty commitments are specified in the order confirmation, warranty certificate or other sales documentation.
The warranty is a voluntary additional manufacturer commitment. Consumers are entitled under applicable law to remedies for product defects free of charge from the seller. This warranty does not limit those statutory rights, mandatory consumer protection or statutory product liability.
The warranty period for JUUP stoves is 5 years in private home use and 1 year in other use.
Private home use means household personal use in a primary residence or holiday home. Other use encompasses professional, commercial, public, institutional and shared use, such as a paid public sauna, hotel, rental guest sauna, gym or apartment building shared sauna. The intended use determines the warranty period.
Please specify the intended use when ordering so that product suitability and warranty can be confirmed. The warranty period does not in itself imply suitability for all extreme operating conditions or unlimited continuous heating.
The warranty begins upon delivery of the stove to the first end customer. Standard dealer storage prior to this does not consume warranty time. Proof of purchase date can be shown with a receipt or order confirmation.
Transfer of ownership does not in itself terminate the warranty or start a new warranty period.
The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects in the stove as well as burn-through and rust-through during the warranty period as described in these terms. Stove wooden handles are excluded from this voluntary warranty. This exclusion does not limit statutory consumer rights.
Burn-through means burning damage penetrating through a metal part, and rust-through means penetrating corrosion through metal. Normal surface rust, natural patina or heat discoloration alone do not constitute rust-through or burn-through.
Warranties for sauna stones, chimney products and accessories sold separately are provided on a product-specific basis.
Product registration or original packaging is not required to claim warranty.
The stove must be installed, operated and maintained in accordance with the specific model installation and user manual and applicable fire safety regulations. Use a qualified installer where appropriate.
Follow in particular guidelines regarding sizing, flue connection, draft, ventilation, safety distances, fuel type, firewood quantity, stone volume and stone stacking. Ensure ash removal, stove and flue cleaning, stone condition checks and chimney sweeping are performed as required.
Only use fresh water permitted in the user manual. Damage caused by seawater, salty water or chlorinated water is not covered by the warranty. Ensure the sauna room dries out thoroughly after use.
Keep installation and maintenance records. A consumer warranty will not be rejected solely due to a missing service receipt or because maintenance was performed by an independent qualified professional.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or routine maintenance. Examples include replacing consumables, refreshing sauna stones and normal signs of cosmetic aging. A manufacturing or material defect in a component is not excluded solely because the part experiences wear.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
Applying an exclusion requires a proven causal connection between the cause and the observed damage. Natural shade variations and patina in natural materials are not considered defects.
Contact the dealer or JUUP at info@juup.fi as soon as you notice a fault. If the issue may compromise safety, cease using the stove.
Please provide where possible:
We investigate the report and advise on next steps. Solutions can include sending spare parts, local repair or inspection of the part/stove. A covered defect is repaired or the product replaced within a reasonable timeframe without charge to the consumer.
We cover necessary and reasonable costs of rectifying covered defects (parts, labour and organized transport). For stoves delivered abroad, warranty service is arranged case-by-case with local partners or by shipping replacement components.
The warranty is valid in European Union and European Economic Area countries as well as other delivery countries to which JUUP or its authorized dealers have sold and delivered the product.
If a fault is not covered by the warranty or statutory liability, we explain the grounds and agree on any chargeable repair before starting work.
Repair or replacement of a part does not automatically restart the warranty period for the entire stove. The original warranty continues for the remaining duration.
This section applies only to business customers. JUUP is not liable for indirect or consequential damages such as lost revenue or production interruptions.
Total aggregate liability in business transactions is limited to the net invoice value of the affected products.
Translating or viewing these terms in different languages does not alter their substantive content. The primary language for business contracts is agreed prior to purchase.
These warranty terms are governed by Finnish law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections under their local laws.
We aim to resolve any disagreement through negotiation. Contact us at info@juup.fi.
