All three options share the same Gösta body, firebox and high heating output. Differences come from the outer shell, stone mass and the character of the löyly.

Kaski has a closed steel shell and about 50 kg of stones. It heats the fastest and gives a traditional, lively löyly.

Punos has a partly open upper mesh and about 75 kg of stones. It combines heat storage, a wide throwing surface and a soft yet firm löyly.

Havu has an open full-mesh structure and about 200 kg of stones. The large mass stores an exceptional amount of heat and gives a deep, soft, lingering löyly.

First calculate the room volume:

width × depth × height

Then add one cubic metre for each uninsulated square metre of glass, brick, stone, tile or concrete. A glass door is included.

If every wall is uninsulated solid log, multiply the actual volume by 1.5.

Gösta is designed for large saunas of 18–35 m³ calculated volume. Below 18 m³ we recommend Iivari.

Gösta has a 115 mm outer-diameter flue connection. The stove can be connected from the top or the rear.

The flue temperature class must be at least T600, and the stove must not be connected to a shared flue. A matching flue set can be supplied separately. The final flue solution must follow the site, the flue manufacturer’s instructions and local regulations.

In a correctly sized, well-working large sauna the reference time to about 60 °C is 45–60 minutes. Actual time depends on starting temperature, construction, ventilation, draught, firewood and stone mass.

Gösta has a very high overall efficiency of over 73 %, which supports even heat distribution in the room.

As a rule of thumb, the stone bowl is usually ready for löyly after the first load of wood, even if the room has not yet reached its final temperature.

Without separate protection, minimum distances to combustible materials are 200 mm at the sides and rear, 300 mm in front and 800 mm above (to the ceiling).

JUUP protective walls halve the side and rear safety distances measured from the stove. Front and ceiling distances do not change.

Final installation must always follow the stove and flue instructions and local fire regulations.

Gösta has a five-year warranty in private use and a one-year warranty in other use.

The warranty covers the stove structure, including the stone surround, and burn-through and rust-through when the stove is used, maintained and swept according to the instructions.

Yes. A 20-litre water heater can be fitted to the side of Gösta Kaski and Punos. It does not fit Havu, because the stone surround takes the space the heater needs.

Depending on use, the water typically reaches about 60–65 °C in around one hour.

The standard delivery includes the chosen Gösta stove, glass door, chosen handles, and user and installation instructions. The stove is prepared for both top and rear flue connection.

Sauna stones, flue, a separate flue pipe or adapter, stove base, protective walls, water heater and transport are not included unless agreed in the order confirmation.

We recommend dark vulcanite stones. Peridotite, olivine diabase and olivine stones intended for wood-burning sauna stoves are also suitable.

Ceramic stones can be used, but they heat and release heat faster than natural stone. For longer heat storage and a firm löyly, we recommend natural stones.

Place large stones about 10–15 cm in diameter at the bottom of the kivipesä and stone surround. Fill the top loosely with smaller stones. Rinse stones before use.

Indicative masses are about 50 kg for Kaski, 75 kg for Punos and 200 kg for Havu. We recommend about 10 kg extra.

Yes. Gösta is available as a through-wall fireplace stove heated from outside the sauna room.

The wall-through part is sized as standard for about 230 mm wall thickness, and can be shortened to suit the site. Wall construction, thickness and fire protection must be checked before ordering.

Empty the ash pan before heating and check regularly that ash or soot has not built up in the smoke channels or around the kivimalja.

Check and restack stones at least once a year. Remove broken stones and grit. The flue and connecting pipes should be swept regularly.

Cooled metal surfaces can be wiped with a damp, soft cloth. If needed, use a mild cleaner suitable for painted metal. Avoid abrasives and strong solvents.
