Indescribable steam
Juup Iivari Havu has been developed for situations where more is required from the stove. Its open, mesh-like stone basket allows for a total stone capacity of around 160 kg — more than twice that of the standard models. The larger stone mass produces softer, more humid, and longer-lasting steam, even when water is poured generously.
Unlike our standard models, Havu does not prioritize quick heating, but instead maximizes the enjoyment of steam. It is an excellent choice for public saunas, shared use, or home saunas where people enjoy long and repeated steam sessions.
With HAVU, you never run out of steam.

Juup Iivari stove is a Finnish handicraft.
A Finnish sauna innovation designed, developed and built by sauna enthusiasts. Already in three generations.
The easy-to-use and CE-marked stove heats up quickly, using less wood than traditional wood-burning stoves.
An efficient stove produces less emissions and studies* show that the Juup Iivari sauna stove’s carbon monoxide emissions are only 0.15% **, one of the lowest values on the market.
The efficiency of the Juup Iivari stove is over 68 % and is suitable for 9 m³ and larger saunas.
Ab Juup Oy has been granted the Avainlippu certification. Avainlippu is a registered community trademark and guarantees that the product is made in Finland and employs in Finland.

Versatile löylys
We wanted to develop a stove that provides the best and most versatile steam. We have taken the long, moist, and soft steam of a smoke sauna as our model.
The ‘secret’ of the steam in smoke saunas lies in the way the stones are heated. The stones at the bottom get incredibly hot, while the surface stones remain relatively lukewarm throughout the sauna session. When water is poured onto the stones, it doesn’t evaporate immediately from the surface stones, but flows down to the bottom of the stone compartment where evaporation occurs. As this steam travels through the cooler stones, a condensation process begins which softens and moistens the steam.
In Juup stoves, the stones are directly above the firebox in a “stone bowl.” This allows the stones to heat up quickly and every drop of water to evaporate into the sauna. The stones at the bottom heat up first and remain hot throughout the sauna session, just like in a smoke sauna.
The stones on the surface of the stone bowl heat up slowly, allowing for the creation of different types of steam during the sauna session. The water that doesn’t evaporate upon contact with the hot stones flows down to the bottom of the bowl and evaporates gradually. This results in soft, moist and long-lasting löyly.
By adjusting the stove’s temperature and the amount of water, you can create exactly the kind of steam that you like. Crisp steam is created when you throw small amounts of water onto the hot stones on the edges frequently. If you prefer soft and moist steam, you can pour a larger amount of water on the lukewarm stones. This creates a steam bath-like löyly.

Warranty
The heater body and fireplace are constructed of 3 mm carbon steel and the fireplace has only one weld seam. This allows the stove to last from one generation to the next. The original stoves, built by Gösta Juup in the 1950s, are still in use.
Thanks to its solid and durable construction, we grant the stove a 10-year warranty in home use.
